Here's a glimpse of what the HSA accomplished

during the 2024-2025 school year:

• Teacher/Staff Appreciation Breakfast: We kicked off the year in August by showing our gratitude to our dedicated teachers and staff with a delicious breakfast.

• Maintained engaging weekly messaging via the Advisory Memo and doubled our HSA-specific news audience. This directly equated to folks being in the know!

• Offered NEW items in our SWAG store for Fall...and a student-designed T-shirt plus new staff-exclusives for the Spring sale.

• Celebrated impact: We honored Mr. Boyer's significant contributions to our school community. Showered Ms. Kathy with some flowers for Administrative Professionals Day - we'd be lost without Ms. Kathy! Lunch on us for Principals Day and of course a little something for our incredible Program Coordinator, Ms. Dom!

• Record Attendance at General Meetings: We've had fantastic turnout at our general meetings that included a parent-to-parent conversation about being successful at SLA-MS, learning from Mr. Boyer about school climate and gaining resources from our counselor and STEP team about supporting student wellness. 

• Held fun and memorable Fall and Spring Dances, filled with music, fun, and opportunities for students to create lasting memories with their friends.

• Engaged parents, teachers and staff in volunteering at the dances!

• Parent Meet-Up: While kids enjoyed the dances, more than 25 parents stopped by for food, drinks, and conversation at our parent meetups.

• Organized picture days to ensure families could receive school photos and guarantee that students are in the annual SLA-MS yearbook.

• Launched a "Giving Tuesday" fundraising campaign and secured a donor match.

• Hosted a Teacher Appreciation Holiday Luncheon in December plus treats, luncheon, slideshow and raffle during Teacher Appreciation Week in May: Keeping the love for our amazing SLA-MS team strong.

• Provided funding for 8th Grade Move-up Ceremony.

• Continuous support of weekly pretzel sales on Wednesdays and the student-led school store on Fridays. Every $1 helps keep funds available for more activities!
